Jonan Property Services, Inc. was organized as a corporation in 1997. For twenty years prior to that, John F. Pfaffl, Sr., as sole proprietor, operated the business under the name of Jonan Management Services - this name has now been abandoned.
The operation was originally set up to handle the management of office, commercial and industrial properties in which John F. Pfaffl, Sr. was a principal owner. That work also came to include leasing, tenant improvement work, financing, developing and sales. John F. Pfaffl, Sr. and Jonan Property Services, Inc. now hold Real Estate Broker licenses and there are four persons with Real Estate Salesperson licenses at our two Southern California locations, all of which is supported by our General Contractor company, Pfaffl/Richards Development Corp.
With the many years of experience of John F. Pfaffl, Sr., his staff of twelve, our highly developed accounting systems, and sophisticated website, the company is offering its services to owners of office, commercial and industrial real estate for a comprehensive management service package.
We have found that many management service organizations are limited to accounting and calling contractors to service the needs of the property, and do not take care of minor building problems, nor leasing, with in-house people; hence running up additional calls and large costs for outside services. It is our direction to provide as many of these services as possible and only hire people where a trade is absolutely necessary. We find it to be quicker and less costly to do as many of these jobs in-house.
We have developed a web site that enables us to work with prospective tenants and owners directly on the web. The site furnishes all site and unit plans for easy viewing and layout of facilities. It also gives you complete details of all our rental units. Please review our navigation menu items.
The company's main office is located in Burbank, California at 348 E. Olive Ave., Suite L, Burbank, CA 91502. A major center of company activities has been in the Temecula area, so we opened our Temecula location in 1992 and it is located at 27537 Commerce Center Drive #206, Temecula, CA 92590. Soon we are establishing an office in the Coachella Valley area.

 John F. Pfaffl, Sr.
President, and Broker
After serving six years in the U.S. Navy during World War II, John F. Pfaffl, Sr. graduated from the University of Southern California in 1955 and soon after became a Certified Public Accountant. During the ensuing years, he has worked in public accounting with a number of major industrial real estate developers, Brokers, and allied professionals as accountant and tax advisor.
In 1977, along with some of these business associates, he organized real estate syndications. Since much of his accounting experience was in the real estate field, it was an easy step to the accounting, organizational, and tax work for these syndications.
Over the years he has gathered the experience, and the staff, for land acquisition and management, project financing, government processing, project management and construction, tenant improvements, leasing, property management, and property sales. LicenseID:01383078
In order to facilitate the needs our our clients, John F. Pfaffl, Sr. formed as President the general contracting firm Pfaffl/Richards Development Corp. This company includes two general contractors with over 25 years in the contracting and construction business. Contractor#:887049
Jan has been with the company since 1996 and has her California Real Estate Salesperson license. Jan is in charge of all the accounting for the properties being managed. This is a substantial effort, since all rents and bills come to our Burbank main office, and all payments are processed through that office. Jan also directs the maintenance and tenant improvement management of the Burbank properties, assists in leasing, works with Mr. Pfaffl on loan documentation, development accounting, and handles rent billing and receivables. John was raised in Burbank and since 1979 has worked with his father in his businesses. John has assisted in his father's practices in capacities ranging from a construction laborer to office manager and currently as our Project Manager and Office Administrator. John directs our governmental processing, property development, and project analysis departments. As a licensed California real estate salesperson LicenseID:01321185, John attends classes, meetings and related seminars on innovations and standards for today's cutting edge technologies in the real estate industry. John is also a California General-B Contractor Contractor#:886598, and is a designated Certified Construction Project Manager by the Association of Construction Inspectors. John is an Officer of the Pfaffl/Richards Development Corp.
Larry Barnes joined Jonan Property Services, Inc. in September 1988. Larry has a California Real Estate Salesperson license and assists in leasing, planning, and researching market conditions for our Inland Empire businesses out of our Temecula office under Mr. Pfaffl's supervision. Gardner Bartlett
Senior Accountant / Systems Administrator
Gardner Bartlett has been with us for over 20 years and is a licensed C.P.A. in Maryland. He has been the senior tax accountant and continues to keeps abreast of pertinent tax laws for our properties. Gardner also contributes to the development and administration of our computer systems.

Annette handles the office manager duties in the Burbank office and is the personal assistant to Mr. Pfaffl.

Laura has been with us for over 25 years. She has been practicing accounting and preparing tax returns for decades. During this time she has assisted other staff with the property accounting and taxes.

Maintenance Technician
Felix Bonilla is our maintenance and janitorial technician for our San Fernando Valley areas. Felix has been in the repair and maintenance field for years and comes to us from the construction industry. Felix also handles handyman work for the properties and the turnover of offices in preparation of new tenants.
